World of Tanks: HEAT

World of Tanks: HEAT is a standalone free-to-play tactical vehicle shooter, rather than a new mode for the original World of Tanks. Its clearest idea is the pairing of an Agent with a customizable tank. The Agent supplies abilities and an Ultimate; the tank brings firepower, armor, movement, modules, and equipment. That structure creates a faster, more expressive game than a conventional armor simulator.

Official support describes 5v5 and 10v10 team play, while the launch outline lists four PvP modes: Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest. Those modes make positioning and team communication central. A strong player is not simply the person who fires first; they understand when to hold an objective, when to rotate, and when an ability changes the fight.

For players considering HEAT, the best reason to try it is the deliberate mix of vehicle handling and hero-shooter decisions. The tradeoff is that this is a different rhythm from slow, historical tank warfare. Treat the tutorial and risk-free test space as a laboratory: test an Agent-tank pairing, then change one part of the loadout at a time. That is how the customization becomes strategy rather than noise.
