Installing NTE from Steam is straightforward. The moment after installation needs more care, especially if you already have a character on another platform.
- Install and launch NTE through its official Steam library page. Avoid unofficial launchers, account “fixes,” or shared login tools.
- Before choosing an account option, decide whether you are starting new or returning to an existing NTE character.
- If you are returning, use the sign-in route connected to that existing account. Do not assume that a Steam button automatically selects your old character.
- Complete linking only inside the official game client when it offers the option. The Steam announcement states that Steam account login and linking are handled through the Steam game client.
- Confirm the correct server, character name, and UID before you spend currency or begin new progress.
If the game opens a brand-new profile when you expected your old one, stop before progressing. Take screenshots of the account screen and use the game’s official support channel. Creating more profiles while troubleshooting can make the situation harder to explain.
Never post a password, verification code, UID, or recovery detail in a public Discord, comment, or “support” direct message. Steam and publisher support will not need your password to verify an account issue.
